Welcome to the online home of the East Village Online Recovery Dharma group. We are an ever-evolving group of former addicts and alcoholics in recovery who gather together regularly to explore and learn from a Buddhist-inspired approach to recovery that is centered on a set of principles and practices designed to break the cycle of suffering caused by addiction. Physically based in the East Village of NYC, we hold virtual meetings throughout the week, morning meditation sessions and live in-person group activities that are all designed to foster connection and community for all of us on our journey to recovery.
Welcome to East Village Online Recovery Dharma
If you are a first time visitor and are interested in joining this group, please use the contact button below and someone will get back to you ASAP. If you are here to learn more about our practice, our path and Dharma Recovery in general, there’s a button below for that too. There are no strict requirements for joining our group as all are welcome. We do however ask our members to practice relentless honesty both with ourselves and others, to commit to following the eightfold path in an effort to understand the root causes of our suffering and to fearlessly seek and give support, encouragement and help for each other when it is needed.
We wish you inner peace and joy on your path to healing from the suffering of addiction and welcome you to explore the methods that have helped so many of us here develop and maintain a way of life that is free from the pain of suffering from addiction.
Here, we can bring healing to ourselves & others.

Buddha taught that by living ethically, practicing meditation, and developing wisdom and compassion, we can end the suffering that is created by resisting, running from and misunderstanding reality. We follow these practices and principles as they have been proven to end the suffering of addiction. If are looking to join our mailing list and attend our group activities, please let us know by completing the form on this page and we’ll get you onboarded ASAP.
